Hi there, I’m Kourtney! I’m an English major, lover of everything pink and sparkly, avid reader, sweater enthusiast, and the voice of this blog. Thanks for visiting! If you want to know more about me, please keep reading!

1 BouquetWHO I AM

My name is Kourtney, and yes, that small variation keeps me from instagramming photos of Coca-Cola cans with my name on them.

I am 22 years old, a young wife, college student, avid reader, and lover of dogs. I live in Eastern Kentucky with my husband and our two dogs Oliver and Cooper!

Above all, I love to laugh and smile. My goal in life is to exude joy and positivity and create a life I love!

I am passionate about thrill rides, good books, being with my girls, and laughing with my husband.

On this blog, I share inspiration from my life in both my struggles and triumphs. In a world where social media dominates and everything is hyper-edited, I try to be open and authentic about the ups and downs of being a young wife and college student, and a 20-something in general.

If you like reading about travel, book reviews, productivity, and organization, you are in the right place. I hope I make you laugh a little and maybe even feel inspired!

Wuthering Writes (this blog) is named after one of the first classic books I ever read: Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.

When I was in high school, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do with my life. I couldn’t really think of any special talents I had, but I had always loved reading.

From that first torn green velvet copy of Heidi I got for my 7th birthday, there was something about holding a book in my hands that made me feel like anything could happen.

So when I was a teenager I read Wuthering Heights. Although now that I’m older I have many other favorites, at the time this book was nothing like I had ever read. It inspired me and made me feel adventurous, but most of all it represents the something in my life that has always been constant, sparked creativity, and would eventually lead me to pursue English in college.

It’s also a pretty clever pun 😉
